Activity Module

The librarians created a Muslim Journeys activity module to help students explore Bookshelf themes. Activity modules are structured learning experiences available as part of the Texas Lutheran University curriculum. Students met five times during the semester to watch and discuss films about Islam. Students completed the module in Fall 2013 (2 students), Spring 2014 (16 students), and Fall 2014 (13 students).

In addition to the three Bookshelf films, the following films were part of the activity module:

  • Persepolis (directed by Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud)
  • Mooz-Lum (directed by Qasim Basir)
  • Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet (PBS)
