Census of Population and Housing
Zipped files of complete volumes. They are very large, but once they’re downloaded they are collections of PDFs. They go back to 1790 but not every year has full state data.

The Statistical Abstract of the United States is a yearly publication containing tables representing US social and economic statistics. Until 2012, it was published by the US Census Bureau, and beginning in 2013, it was published by ProQuest. It is available in the Reference section of the library.
